1:1 Therapy Sessions for Children & Adolescents
At Sycamore Point Academy, our one-on-one therapy sessions are at the core of the individualized care we provide. These sessions are designed for children and adolescents who benefit from focused, personalized instruction and support grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
We specialize in working with learners ages 7 to 15, meeting them where they are with programming that respects their age, interests, communication style, and learning goals. In addition to support from skilled behavior technicians, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) also work directly with learners in one-on-one sessions. They develop goals, monitor progress, and make real-time adjustments to ensure meaningful outcomes.

Behavior Assessments & Treatment Planning
At Sycamore Point Academy, effective support starts with understanding. That’s why we begin every therapeutic relationship with a comprehensive behavior assessment. A process designed to uncover your child’s unique strengths, challenges, and learning style. This foundation allows us to create a treatment plan that is not only evidence-based, but also truly individualized.
We don’t believe in cookie-cutter programs. We believe in smart, thoughtful planning guided by data, clinical expertise, and family input.

What Happens Next: Personalized Treatment Planning
Based on assessment results, we develop a customized treatment plan that includes:
Specific, measurable, and meaningful goals
Evidence-based strategies tailored to your child’s learning style
A plan for skill generalization across home, school, and community settings
Clear timelines for progress monitoring
Input from your family every step of the way
You’ll receive a full explanation of the plan before services begin and we’ll revisit it regularly to ensure it evolves as your child does.

Transition Planning
Transition planning is a key service we offer to help children and their families navigate important changes with confidence and support. Whether a child is moving from one educational setting to another, preparing for a new therapy environment, or aging into a different stage of service, we believe these transitions should be intentional, not overwhelming.
At Sycamore Point Academy, our transition planning includes:
Individualized Readiness Assessments
We evaluate the child’s current skills, communication needs, and support systems to determine what’s needed for a smooth and successful transition.Collaborative Goal Setting
We work closely with families, educators, and other service providers to align goals and create a unified plan. That means fewer surprises, clearer expectations, and more consistent support.Skill Building for Real-Life Change
We target functional skills that directly support transition success, things like flexibility, independence and emotional regulation.Gradual Step-Down or Step-Up Plans
Whether your child is transitioning into a school setting, from another therapy provider, or toward greater independence, we can design a timeline and process that’s paced for success.Ongoing Coaching and Advocacy
We support families through the entire process, offering insight, advocacy tips, and documentation that supports IEPs, 504s, and other planning meetings.
We see transitions as opportunities, not disruptions, and we approach them with the same care, strategy, and compassion as every other aspect of our services. -
Limited After-School 1:1 Therapy Sessions Available
We understand that traditional school hours don’t work for every family, which is why Sycamore Point Academy offers flexible after-school, one-on-one ABA therapy sessions for school-aged learners.
These sessions are designed for children who:
Attend school during the day and need support in the afternoon
Benefit from individualized attention in a quieter, focused setting
Are working on communication, social skills, behavior goals, or life skills
In addition to after-school sessions, we also offer hybrid scheduling options for learners who attend school for part of the day and participate in therapy for the other half. This model provides a balanced approach that supports both academic growth and behavioral development.
All sessions at Sycamore Point follow the same values and standards as our full-day programming: data-driven and relationship-focused.
Whether you're starting fresh, switching providers, or just need focused support, we're here to help. At Sycamore Point, our services are built to grow with your child and support your whole family along the way.
